Privacy Policy
This policy explains what Odosia collects, how, what we do with it, who else it reaches, how long we keep it, and how to have it deleted. Odosia is operated by Frenzy App LLC, a Michigan limited liability company, and this policy covers the Odosia iOS app and odosia.app. Questions: support@odosia.app.
Short version. We collect your name and email address, the recommendations and lists you save, and who you connect with. We never store your location, we do not run analytics, we do not show ads, and we do not sell your personal data. You can delete your account, and everything in it, from inside the app.
1. What we collect and how
Information you give us directly
- Account details — your name or display name and your email address. Odosia is passwordless: you sign in with a one-time code sent to your email, so no password is ever created, transmitted or stored.
- Profile information — an optional profile photo and any bio you add.
- The content you save — recommendations, lists, routes, trips, notes, ratings, photos, videos and links you add to Odosia, along with the places and cities they refer to.
- Your connections — the friends you add, follow or accept, requests you send or receive, and which lists you have shared with whom.
- Anything you send us — support emails, bug reports and feedback.
Information collected automatically
- Technical request data — when the app or website connects to our servers, our hosting provider receives your IP address and standard request information such as app or browser version and the time of the request. This is used to keep the service running and to prevent abuse.
Only with your permission
- Photos — we can access only the specific images you choose to attach to a recommendation. We never scan or index your photo library.
- Location — if you allow it, Odosia uses your device’s location while you have the app open, to show you what is near you. It is used in the moment only: we do not store it on our servers, attach it to your account, or keep any record of where you have been.
- Contacts — used only on your device to show you which of your contacts are already on Odosia. Your contacts are never uploaded to, or stored on, our servers.
- Notifications — a push token, so we can tell you when a friend shares something with you.
What we don’t collect
We do not store your location or keep any history of where you have been. We do not use analytics or usage-tracking tools, so we do not build a record of which screens or features you open. We do not use a third-party crash-reporting service. We do not create advertising profiles, and there is no advertising in Odosia.
2. Why we use it
- To create and run your account and keep your lists in sync across your devices.
- To sign you in, by sending a one-time code to your email address.
- To show your recommendations to the people you chose to share them with, and to show you theirs.
- To send you service messages — friend requests, shares, and notices about the app.
- To keep Odosia safe: preventing spam, abuse, and unauthorised access.
- To meet legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
We do not use your content to serve you advertising, and we do not sell your personal data.
3. Who can see your content
Inside Odosia, visibility follows the setting on each list:
- Just me — visible only to you.
- Friends only — visible to the friends you have accepted.
- Shared — visible to the specific people you send it to.
- Public — anyone with the link can see it, whether or not they use Odosia. A public list may also be found by search engines. Only set a list to public if you are happy for it to be seen by anyone.
Your display name and profile photo are visible to people you are connected with, to people who receive a list you shared, and to anyone viewing a list you have made public.
4. Who we share data with
We use a small number of companies to run Odosia. They act on our instructions and only to provide their service to us:

Push notifications are delivered through Apple’s Push Notification service, which is part of iOS.
Every third party with whom we share user data — including any software development kit, and any parent, subsidiary or related company that has access to user data — is required to provide the same or equal protection of user data as stated in this policy.
We may also disclose data if the law requires it, to protect someone’s safety, or as part of a merger or acquisition — in which case we will tell you before your data becomes subject to a different policy.
5. Keeping it, deleting it, and withdrawing consent
We keep your account and the content you save for as long as your account exists.
Deleting your account
You can delete your Odosia account, and everything in it, from inside the app: Profile → Settings → Delete Account.
Deletion removes your profile, your saved recommendations, lists, routes and connections from our live systems immediately, and from our backups within 30 days. One thing it does not reach: anything you shared directly into another person’s list has become part of their data too, and it stays in their list after your account is gone. You can also email support@odosia.app and we will delete your account for you.
To withdraw a permission without deleting your account, turn photos, location, contacts or notifications off in iOS Settings → Odosia. Odosia keeps working without any of them; you just add images from the camera, lose the “near me” view on the map, find friends by email instead of from your contacts, and stop receiving push alerts. To ask for a copy of your data, or to have it corrected or deleted without closing your account, email support@odosia.app.
